Be still

In all the busyness of life, my juggling act and my dropped balls, what do I most need to remember?

It is something you would expect to be hard to forget, yet I do.

I need to be still and remember that God is who God is - now and forever.

I am not God. What a relief for me - and for everyone else.

I need to remember that all who set themselves up to be gods will fall like the ancient idols that crumbled to dust.

That the proud principalities and powers of this age will not endure.

That God is God and God is love and that remains secure forever.

God says,

“Be still and know that I am God!”

Psalm 46:10
